I know this is nearly 5 months old but, not having replied then (intended to!) I am replying now. The waiters at the coffee shops around here nearly all wear ankle length wrap aprons that go, at least, halfway round the waist and, from the front they do strongly resemble a long black skirt. And very good the male waiters look as one defocuses and daydreams of a freer, more open society.
