Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
And yes speedos are the best if you have to wear anything at all while swimming.
Thankfully, most locations do require people to be decent when swimming in public and won't tolerate exhibitionism. Those who have an inclination to go nude should do it in their own private pools or when at specialist nudist colonies.
A simple wrap sarong is the perfect garb for the beach. It can double up as something to change under, something to spread out and sit on, and, of course, something to wear. Plus sarongs tend to be cheap to buy, bright and colourful, and can be worn by just about anyone. They actually enhance the male physique IMO! I'm a big fan of sarongs and see them as the perfect introduction to male skirt-wearing.
Sarongs...good for quick changing if there's no proper facilities (not all beaches have them, and an automobile can be a bit problematic sometimes...not to mention if you arrived by public transportation or walking....) But also, if you arrive in, let's say, your swimsuit, sandals, and a shirt, then the sarong, along with the towel, is really useful after coming out of the water. Wrap the sarong, and you can take off your swimsuit (go to a corner or something if you don't want anyone seeing you do so) if you don't like the feel of a wet swimsuit against you when you're out of the water, and that way, you can wring it out to speed up the drying.
