Emmy,
I liked your post. All of the extra explanation helps paint a picture of a nice happy comfortable day off and how ccomfy your clothes make you feel and how much you love putting together your looks.

I was actually going to suggest that you continue your descriptive posts. While it is nice to share what it is while we are wearing, there is so much more information to be had if we also share why we choose to wear what we do and how it makes us feel.

Just the other morning there was a discussion of learning more about style. That can't happen if we can't share without fear of being made fun of.

Don't worry. I'm not on any wierd diet plan or anything. The weight loss is a side effect of my prescription drug Topomax, which I take for my bipolar disorder. Pretty nice side effect, eh? But I'm staying strong and healthy, and it's all coming off as fat, not muscle loss.

I'm going to be bummed out if I ever develop a resistance to this drug and have to be switched to something else which causes me to gain weight instead of losing it! I've heard a lot of meds do that. Wish me luck!

As for everyone else who encouraged me to stay and not be upset and post again, I guess maybe I will. In a day or two I'll probably find that I'm wearing something so fantastic (to my mind, anyway) that I'll be really proud of it, and I'll want to share why I like it so much.

I hope it does contribute something positive to the forum. That's what I've always tried to do.

New ankle length dark khaki A line skirt just arrived courtesy of eBay, with lighter khaki work shirt (Steve Irwin style). I'm feeling nice and comfy and sort of "schlumpy"

My black mid calf tight Pleather skirt (black, with a long mid thigh slit on the left side), this is one of my favorite skirts that I have worn out and about several times. Black silken mist hose, ankle boots, and a short sleeved bowler shirt which is black with vertical red and white stripes on the left breast.

today @ work:

blue old navy fleece shirt.
44" long black tiered "prairie" skirt.
dark grey light weight tights (14f degrees without wind chill today).
black suede calf boots, 3" stacked heels.

blue eyeshadow, black mascara.
light brown lipstick (avon's heaven).

still no nails, but nail problem MUCH better.

today @ work
Black wool kilt (the one in my avatar) with black knee socks and black dress shoes, and a black Argyle jacket with white dress shirt and black neck tie, and yes I did wear black briefs and a plain black polyester half slip under the kilt in the interests of modesty and keeping the kilt clean - so an all black day apart from the shirt.
Came home and changed into grey T-shirt and grey Midas leisure kilt.

I love nightshirts, first started wearing them in late 70s while I was in Australia, never seen them in the UK before that, when I came home (UK) I looked out for them in the shops, only found a few which were badly made, but now there you can buy them on the Internet quite easily.

Working from home, so:

French blue long sleeve dress shirt.
Brown knit wool vest.
~31" 4.5+ radian "rainbow" tiered skirt
Black voile petticoat with 7" ruffle (which I just completed -- except for decorative trim ) Length and color are intended to go with this skirt.
Simple muslin petticoat/slip
Red knee socks (Sock-Dreams calls them OTK, but only one of their size 0 models would be able to get them over the knee.)
