trying to make quotes work..
Skip to get the quotes to work you need to add an inverted comma ( " ) at either end of the user name, where I've put a % in the following example:

Hope that helps. Have fun,

Out raking leaves today, straight black twill mid-calf skirt, brown canvas apron, orange T-shirt, ankle high athletic shoes, (works great for walking in weeds and high grass while raking. 8)

what I wore today

Post by tooslowprius »

Let me first start by saying this was the first time I have ever worn a skirt in public around wear i live. I had to stop at a cash advance place. I wore my cleveland browns winter coat it's only in the high 30's here right now, and a just above the knee jean skirt that I got from my wife that she can't wear anymore (to big for her). I also had on suntan leggs everyday support hose. here is a pic of the skirt and hose I wore. This is my only skirt for now:(

Hey that looks great. I also think it's great you can wear your wifes skirts. Makes a change from them sharing our things.

Today I am wearing a George @ Asda knee length denim skirt. I wore this around our back yard while doing some chores but after it got a bit chilly so I added a pair of Levante black tights. I always think black hose with a denim skirt go well together.
I want to wear skirts without judgment just as women can wear trousers.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. That was the most nerve racking thing I have ever done beside's getting married. You know the sad part about it is that my wife absoluty hate's wearing skirt of any type. She say's there uncomfortable. Wicth if they are really tight I could see why they would be for me the one that I have is loose and it's nice and comfortable. Not to cold on a cool day and not to hot. I even got brave enough to wear it back out today. I had to go to the BMV to get the plate's for my car's. So I took the day off from work, Because it was and optional day for me to work. Got up and got dressed. I decied I was going to give it another go at wearing out in public. So I wore a white turtle neck and a cleveland browns jursey, my jean skirt, nude leggs sheer comfort hose no show sock's and my sneeakers. When I got to the BMV I almost chickened out, but I sucked it up and went for it. As I was walking acrossed the lot to guy's wear talking on there way out and I had to walk right by them. As I got closer and they noticed that I ws wearing a skirt they stoped there conversation and looked at me. They didn't say a word though. Once I went into the BMV I had to stand in line and wait for a min. Witch the line is quite a distance from the counter. So I know the ladies that worked there could see what I was wearing. I went to the counter did what I had to do and left. Now there was some people next to me that had a teenage girl. I noticed at one point her look over at me but she didn't say a word. Her dad was a redneck in everyway. As I was leaving there was a mom and her doughter sitting waiting to be called up. They both were looking but nothing was said. I thought about going to the local good will and looking to see if I can find a knee length kaki skirt to wear once and awhile. The strage thing about wearing a skirt. Wearing the hose does not bother me or make me nervous. It's wearing the skirt that make's me nervous. Well got to run. Here is a pic of what I wore.

Not so slow

Post by JRMILLER »

Too Slow,
Not so slow, eh? I know the area you are in and you are quite right about it being rednecked. You are one brave dude!

What does your wife think of your outings and would she be seen out with you?

denim button skirt

Post by gshubert »

I'm wearing a denim button skirt (from Target) this morning, getting ready to buy groceries and run other errands. Gray tshirt. And sandals as it's a bit warmer than usual here.

Hallo gshubert, That is a nice skirt, "comfortable" length, and the nice A model shape is complimentary, "playful". As many denim skirts worn by men are the straight ones. Ok, but as skirts go, pretty drab to others in comparison. l and I like things like the double row of buttons, gives it something special.

Good for you.

A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

Well my wife doesn't like me wearing skirt's but she said she will tolerate it as long as I don't wear in public with her or the kids. I have how ever bought a new just below the knee kaki skirt. I plan on wearing it when I go to my Dr app next week. I'll post pics later

I guess this is better here, as I was "out and about" today.
I wore my Fraser tartan straight knee length skirt today at the grocery, along with a hunting green T-shirt and black sandals. Had 3 people ask me if I was Scottish, to which I happily replied, YES!!! The out of towners are here now as this is the tourist season. No one of the touristas asked me why I was wearing a skirt tho. :):):)

Well, Carl has the week off and we went out and about, doing errands and grabbing lunch. I was in a black "everyday" skirt and black, red and white sweater and black textured hose and purple shawl. Carl was in his black velvet skirt, red wool vest, white shirt, black hose and turquoise windbreaker.

We were in the grocery store and passed an elderly couple. The wife hardly noticed Carl, but the man, who was pushing the cart, looked at Carl with a scowl and kept pushing his cart and nearly collided with a display!

Carl's choice of colors

Post by JRMILLER »

Sapphire,
Well, I can easily understand why he scowled, everything matched except that " turquoise windbreaker", I mean, come on!

True. Turquoise and red really don't go well together. But maybe the old guy was scowling at me with my purple cloak and red and white sweater. Oh, but purple and red are red hat colors so I guess I'm exempt.

HeHe  Tomorrow we go to the mall in search of tights, knee socks, shirts and, for me, a Lanz of Salzburg flannel nightgown.

It looks like I need to spend some time in "tailor mode" and fix up my old navy-blue windbreaker that sports a nautical anchor logo and the captions "Balliol College" and "Supercargo". At least that wouldn't be a fashion faux pax....
