Two new sarongs, they're wonderful!

Post by Raakone »

Hi. I just thought I'd share some happiness. A couple of sarongs I ordered arrived in the mail. Got them from Afatasi (http://www.afatasi.com) And they call it a "Warrior Cloth."

The Good: interesting designs. Fits well, doesn't feel like it will slip at all, good coverage, and has a cargo pocket with velcro for closing it. And with the package they give you an illustrated guide on how to wrap.

The Bad: Only has design on one side. Also, if you're not wearing a shirt with it, there's a logo on the back (ok, only the back if you wrap it the way they recommend it). And the "Warrior Cloth" tag in the lower front.

And The Ugly: Putting change in the pocket means you'll make a "ching" when you move, because the cargo pocket is low

Anyways, they're nice. I got into one of them today before starting my shift at work. People liked it. And my best friend there said I should call it a "warrior cloth" like it says. It's nice and comfortable. And it won't slip with the weight of my keychain and access card clipped to it (And I just put my hip against the reader practically!)

PS sorry, don't have any pics available yet!

Great stuff. Nice to see firms catering to the men's sarong market. I must say I like wearing sarongs too.

Thank you. They're comfortable. And today I ordered a pair for a couple of my friends! I think the heat wave Montreal is experiencing helped sell them. Even the loosest shorts are no match for a sarong when it comes to the "natural air conditioning"....why do you think they're worn in so many hot places?

Anyways, I'm wearing my other new sarong tomorow. Wish me luck,

Those sarongs look handsome. Thanks for introducing me to their site, Ra'akone. I saw that large label on the red sarong and see what you mean about it being a minus, what a distraction. Is it stitched on? You may be able to remove it easily by cutting the thread.
