Hello All

Post by skirtedsailor »

Hello everyone! I've been around IMFF for awhile and decided to join here as well. I wear my Utilikilt, Macabi's, Mountain Hardwear Kilt, demin skirt, and khaki skirts often as I can. Still a little timid about public, but have been venturing out to the local Walgreen's (Pharmacy), and walking my dogs skirted/kilted. My wife thinks its totally wierd and dose not approve, but I'm working on her slowly...maybe she will come around. She has strong gender identity issues tied to clothing/appearance so its an uphill battle, but a slow steady approach will will her over...I hope. If not, I'll just enjoy my freedom when she's not around. Don't get me wrong, I don't hide; I just don't rub it in her face.
Anyways, enough drabble, just wanted to say hello to everyone and see if there are any fellow skirt/kilt wearers in North Carolina.

I take it your wife only wears skirts then? Keep chipping away and with luck the identity issue will disappear.

If I want to dress like a woman, I'll wear jeans.

Welcome Sailor from another one of us here with dual Cafe/IMFF citizenship. :D It sounds like you have the right attitude toward your situation, you understand the need to treat your wife gently and with respect knowing that is the key to overcoming her irrational fears. I wish you luck with that.
