Holiday Faux Pas
Holiday Faux Pas
I had the most wonderful 3-day break last week in Palma, Mallorca. Skirt/kiltless, I'm afraid, but it did finish with a rather amusing incident. My wife and I had checked out of our hotel in the morning, but left our bags, since our flight was not until late afternoon. On returning to reclaim the bags, we decided to change into something more comfortable for the flight home. (I know what I would rather have worn, but that wasn't an option!) Picking up the bags we headed to the respective rest-rooms in this rather smart hotel.
My wife had already entered hers when I reached the "other" door, to be faced with the silhouette of a lady in a crinoline skirt carrying a parasol. Was my wife trying to tell me something? I rushed back to the other door to find that the silhouette of that was of a man in a frock coat (but wearing a top hat and carrying a cane). To the casual observer it was a man in a skirt. Luckily I rescued her before she had had time to realize her mistake!
