Lost my friend and kilt supporter
I found out today that a friend of mine who worked in security where I work shot himself Sunday at his home. I don't have all the details. He was only 40 years old. We had hospital security in common because I worked in it for 18 years, so we found plenty to talk about. You won’t find many security people into kilts but he always supported my UG activities and found it interesting even though he wasn’t into it himself. It’s a sad night here and I know it will be strange not to see him in the hospital halls or around to have lunch with anymore.

Speaking of losing a "friend"
For the last 7 years a woman named Judy has lived with me. A few times it seemed that my "house money" got smaller without me spending it. I chalked it off to my failing memory. Today, she told me that she had "borrowed" $80.00 out of my checking account by using my paypal to send it to her paypal account. I had given her my password a few weeks ago when I went to Vegas in case of some emergency at my house while I was gone. After she told me that she'd "borrowed" the $80. I went to my Paypal to change my password and you could have knocked me over with a small feather. Since July 10, she has transferred from my paypal to her paypal $3,850.50.........She started taking like $25 a day and as time went on she took more and more and more. Yesterday she transferred $350. to her account from mine. I have changed the password. I don't know what happens next. I trusted her. She's robbed me. Any suggestions?
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Having some time to expand on this (even though wouldn't have it if I was doing what I should be) I'll add in on my friends passing.Steven wrote:I too lost a a friend recently, sudden and massive heart attack, on the side of support, its hard to say, but I was always welcome no matter what I wore.

In my early days of alternative attire shopping I stopped in a skate shop and came across a couple dresses that were on sale. The prices and sizes were good enough that I found a selection of four I wouldn't mind acquiring. When I went up to pay for them the gentleman at the counter asked me if I would like to try them on as they were on sale and not returnable. I was a bit floored at the bluntness and didn't even chicken saying they were for a friend. Out of the four I ended up buying three as one didn't fit right.
I don't buy many off the rack outfits now as there are few sizes available as well as choices in stock that I like. When I took up skating seriously I visited more to get my blades sharpened, boots adjusted, or other various skating related items.
Sometimes we would get to talking and the gossip of my skating as well as many other subjects, many of a time I was late to my next destination as we sat around and mussed over life.
I could write so much more, but there will never be enough words to encompass who he was to me and so many others.
He was one of the few true professionals around here that treated me with respect, I will greatly miss him for that.

It's a black Utilikilt I've had for about 5 years. One thing I've noticed about a black kilt... it goes good with just about everything... dress shirts, t-shirts, tank tops. Even my black leather motorcycle jacket!Bravehearts.us wrote:Thanks Rick. BTW You look great in that you’re wearing in your picture here. Where did you get the kilt?

Such a simple but meaningful gesture of respect and decency. He sounds like such a good man from this alone, Steven. I am sorry both you and Lar have each lost such a kind person from your lives.Steven wrote:When I went up to pay for them the gentleman at the counter asked me if I would like to try them on as they were on sale and not returnable.
