How is it with Pocketed Kilts
How is it with Pocketed Kilts
I will soon be the proud possessor of a kilt with pockets.
I usually carry a shoulder bag when bifurcated because I have to carry so much junk - folding money, coins, cards, phone, tissues, keys, often a PDA as well. My trousers/pants get too tight if I stuff the pockets. I would be interested to hear how the rest of you get on with pocketed kilts/skirts: easier than trousers/pants - same - harder?.

And, of course ...
... a digital camera for taking that photo someone promised me {big grins}Uncle Ricky wrote:I own two Pittsburgh Kilts, both of which have pockets. I find that the pockets are great for car keys, and cell phones, wallet, etc. It also gives me a place to put my hands.
Cheers, Rick

I've got 2 Utilikilts and I think the pockets are great. Just carry the usual... keys, cellphone, loose change. Sometimes I put the wallet in the back pocket but most of the time just in with everything else.
I've got a few skirts with pockets which are ok but they're even smaller that regular pockets on jeans. Which means they're not good for much !

With my black Survival utilikilt, I have been able to stuff an old Nikon FM2 (35mm SLR) camera with a 50mm lens into one of the cargo pockets, then snap it closed.

Greetings MtnBiker,MtnBiker wrote:Isn't that mountain kilt great?!?!!? I love mine -- I have 2. This time of year they get worn 3-4 times a week.
Looks great on you! How much have you worn it? I wear mine for neighborhood walks, proper hikes, out to lunch or dinner, bathing dogs, travelling .....
It is indeed the Mountain Kilt. Got a good deal on it thanks to John. (Thanks John). I find it especially comfortable when driving.
Cheers
The worm that destroys you is the temptation to agree with your critics in order to get their approval.
Got It
I have my pocketed kilt now and it's a great success. The pockets are the bext part - deep and with cellphone compartment. Better than trouser (pants) pockets becaause they don't squeeze against you. The next time, though, I want to try a shorter drop. I like a kilt to be just above the knee but with standard drop the kilt has to be a bit of a gut fit.
aaah, indeed!!
You are quite welcome ... it looks much better on you than me.Overtahill wrote:Here you go John... (With thanks)
