Manliness

Dunno if there any Maddox fans hereabouts, but perhaps we could adopt the cover of his book as our new logo?!

if anyone would like to emulate this style, the boots are from celtic sheepskin, skirt is from victoria's secret and belt is from Next. note the belt is done up from right to left, which is more female style. the factor 5 oil he's using is available from Boots the chemists, and bracelet is from the monsoon winter 05/06 collection.

when going into these shops and searching for the items in question, be sure and take along a copy of the picture to assist the staff.

I am unfamiliar with the author so I'll ask if there is a reason his book cover has a guy in a skirt. Hanging around here I should know by now that a man doesn't need a reason to wear a skirt, but still for a book cover it is certainly unusual.

Saks Fith Ave.

Post by nitrox »

I was in Saks 5th Ave. today looking for the Apple store and talked to a very helpful woman/girl there who told me where it was ( a distance)

When I was walking through the store and past the cosmetics I saw the bloke's fashions and it was strange. I saw the jeans there and man, they looked like "girl's" jeans not to mention they were very tight in the upper leg and really loose as flared at the lower. In fact they were getting more from home as the "european" fitted look. My idea is that they were probably near $100US and I then noticed that they looked heaps like what I had on (mine have cuffs because they're too long) but guess what, mine were from the W's dept. and they cost a whole $10!!

The other thing I noticed was that no only was one manequin wearing them, but all of them were!! It's the new style that's been out forever, and now they're charging heaps for it. Unless (fashion secret) you go to the W's section and pay less than half! (Old Navy)

Book cover guy in skirt

Post by Since1982 »

Mouse, not really, there have been literally tons of paperbacks and other books written over the last 50 years with guys wearing skirts on the covers. Think about all the fantasy books like Conan the Barbarian, Tarzan and other similar books. In fact the only characters that "didn't" wear skirts on those covers were the women. :shake:
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Tarzan and Conan wear loincloths as far as I always saw, although I can see how those hang like a skirt but not like the miniskirt on the book's cover. Miniskirts are a style I've never spotted on any guy but here and home.
