More than one way to skin a cat, Carl.

As for everything else, the motivations only matter to you and anyone else whom YOU choose to let it matter to, everyone else can go yonder.
That "female" card in your hand could be the completion of a royal flush, not much in isolation but in a set invaluable.
Here's something I posted some time ago viewtopic.php?t=24377which includes a picture that I cobbled together.
My "feminine" side has a name, Sara and I see her as the twin I never had. This is an update thanks to the magick, we call AI.

This has nothing to do with gender identity or binary/non-binary theories, it is the explanation I use for myself how little confused Stephen became the confident grizzled old dude in a dress known as Stevie in certain circles.

If i had to self diagnose, i think because of my parents divorce when I was 2, i was mostly left with my sister, nan, auntie and sometimes my mum. I think there was very little male presence in my life and I imprinted on my Nan who I lived with.
We might consider another aspect-demographics. If you base that on male/female, you get two very large and diverse groups. No two individuals have exactly the same personality. So, why wouldn't girls/women include a few Tomboys? Why wouldn't boys/men also include a few Femboys/Janegirls?

Yes I was thinking that after posting.

Actually, later during the month I posted this, I purchased my first hat. A brown Fedora. One bit of non-conformity, because most people don't wear hats anymore. Within the range of what is deemed socially acceptable for a man, but now uncommon.

Noticed that there are a few articles online for women, which promote rigs of hats with skirts/dresses. Really, hats are one of the more prominent things a person can wear.

Hats, I have a few, actually quite a lot.
In Starbucks, killing time before I pick Susie up for our day out.
Conform, I don't appear to, only skirt and only hat wearer in the place.
Motivation, I use the old titfer to accent the rest even learnt how to avoid the tea-cosy look thanks to her.
Until this afternoon, when we got back after our bank holiday outing, which was absolutely lovely.

A bit of humour never goes amiss.

Around here; a shelf in my den has a bunch of hats, most rather innocuous things, several of the 'cowboy' style from straw to leather as they are easily had in our rural region where cows still wander on the roads; a few folks on horseback and even the occasional ox cart with real oxen pulling them -- so, "cowboy' hats are not unusually noteworthy -- BUT, when I wear one with a skirt, it is not unusual to get comments, mostly compliments.

Now, there is a bit of humor in the "motivation" side of this: I've had a couple of large patches of melanomas on my head requiring me to wear hats much of the time. One particularly large and deep melanoma was filled from a graft -- pretty much from my posterior, giving rise to my Father-in-law saying: "Now, that gives a whole new meaning to getting your head out of your ass!"

I think I like your father-in-law on that quip alone Faldaguy.
