Body Shaming

Post by mr seamstress »

We all hate body shaming, but women are boding shaming men on their fashion choices. It just not just us wearing dresses and skirts. They will body shame us for wearing same type of top they are wearing. They denounce any man that wear V cut top especially if it's a deep V cut top. Their chest is beautiful to be seen with a deep V cut top on a date, but not so much for a man. What happen to fashion freedom? Why do women feel free to criticize man on his fashion choices, while claiming they have a right to chose their own fashion and no man has a right to criticize their fashion choice? There is this double standard what men can or can't wear, even he was wearing pants. Women would restrict men from wearing same type of fashion they are wearing including shirts and pants. Women wear tight pants leaving nothing to imagine, not so much for man. What is considered sexy for women is a turnoff if man puts on same type of display. Women find it's appropriate to body shame a man to be sexy same way as women are.
We men complain about women trying to keep us in a man box, but when the average man on the street wakeup how his man box is over restricted even when he is wearing shirts and pants and woman complain not being appropriate. He is being body shame, because he isn't female that has the right to wear what she is wearing.
What happen to fashion freedom? What happen to equal rights? To many men are caving to women on their fashion choices and don't understand they are being put into highly restricted man box and the women they are with are being physically body shaming them. One restriction leads to another and keep it going by body shaming. Mass propaganda keeps this process going.

The web is loaded with propaganda about what is real men. To many men caving to this propaganda and giving up their fashion choices. This making it harder for men in skirts and dresses to be fully accepted. Real men will not accept this propaganda. No man should be ashamed of his chest even he has oversize breast for being a male, nor should women be ashamed of their chest if it's total flat.

Got to question if they want a real man and his intellect? His intellect should outweigh his fashion choice. A man got to be himself, not catering to woman's idea of what fashion he should wear. If he caters to woman's idea, he is being fake and not true to himself. In time that relationship going to fail.

I think the first problem is lumping all women in to one box and assuming they are of one mind about things. Remember you are only looking to please one woman and as long as she is happy with you, things are OK.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

Thinking back, I have never cared what a "real man" is.

I think this is a question of just owning up and adopting what we want to wear. Women got the same bull from men when they started wearing trousers.

As mouse said, just please the one, who cares about the rest, eventually one that likes you for you and how you dress will come along. It's just a shame if you're 'one' does not approve once you dared to admit it to her but you are so far into the relationship that it is more important than how you look, cause then your stuck compromising to your detriment to keep that woman.

I don’t really take those websites seriously. Everyone has their own personal tastes in what other people wear. Some women will not like what other men wear and others will that’s on that list. So what. Personally (apart from skinny jeans and ripped clothing) I don’t like any of the men’s items of clothing on that list especially baseball caps. That’s why I wear clothes that are from the women’s aisle.

Also,it’s like with MIS some women like it and others don’t. I’ll just take that website with a pinch of salt.
My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist. 8)

Nothing in the article about not liking skirts. So wear and skirt and the women will flock to you.
