Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. Mrs Mouse sent me a picture on WhatsApp of a man in a skirt..
I found out his name is Patrick Ball and he is an Actor. He talks about wearing a skirt here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIaPUTsNJ5I
Mrs Mouse is not a fan of his socks!
So from what I gathered it's a Thom Browne "WOOL CLASSIC PLEATED SKIRT" so it'll cost around £2700! I believe the 4 stripes on the sock is a Thom Browne thing. Interesting that the actor mostly refers to it as a skirt while the interviewer tends to use the term kilt. Sad that the final question was whether he was wearing anything under it!
That's a work a day outfit for the office, not a glad rags look for a glittery event.
Ah but if I'm invisible in a tux, I won't be ignored with a skirt on and the odd socks, how avant-garde.
Not the worst look but the same or very similar, achievable at a fraction of the cost.
I guess he got column inches even if they weren't hard earned.
Steve.
Any visibility on this is welcome. I just feel its difficult for any adult male or female to pull off the skirt and kneesocks look unless its an actual kilt and hose. Fair play to him.
