Sebs sweatshop
Re: Sebs sweatshop
Very well done!
Re: Sebs sweatshop
I grabbed some photos yesterday too. I tried to catch the sun but it was very fleeting and the wind was cold as bones.

I was making a weird face in this one, so you only get neck down.

And I tried to get a good one from behind but this one came out the best.
I should probably try to sort out my camera situation. xD

Re: Sebs sweatshop
Seb,
That looks pretty good too.
Oh and I like the hair too. You've got a bit more bulk in the plat than I do, although mine is a bit longer than that, as I have not cut mine in 6 years.

Thanks! I had to cut mine back when the pandemic struck, it got stuck in the PPE we were using and we had no clue how bad it was early on so we had to use PPE at all times. So its about 4 years of growth on my head, needs a trim though, the ends are very worn and even the Aussie special repair balsams are not helping.6ft3Aussie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:54 am Seb,

Really good to get a project done so you can wear it. Well done Seb. I like the contrast in volume between the top part and the skirt. Nice work. I am also envious of your hair.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...
Re: Sebs sweatshop
Thanks Mouse, I have always liked my hair aswell, I got blessed with a good head of it but its starting the colour desaturation journey and my hairline is slowly creeping back. I hope I should have a few more years if my dad is anything to go by.

Oh, been awhile since I was last in here, Grandpa always had short silver hair as far as I remember in that case Jim, but time will tell.
Not done a lot of my project list, but I did decide to modify the blue dress from earlier into a skirt. Never was happy with the bodice, the armholes were to small and its not really my style anyway(but it was fun to make).
Just put an elastic waistband into it, less than a hours work and now I have an additional skirt that I will actually wear.

Re: Sebs sweatshop
I stood in front of the fireplace yesterday and got a little to close, not really thinking that I was wearing a velour (that is polyester) dress. Well, I got some molten fabric.
Luckily its got a 1dm hem, and its double folded, so I decided to have a go at repairing it, took it off today, and decided to take the annoying hood off while I was at it as well.
So that means I have some extra fabric to patch the molten part with from the hood. Then I should be able to make enough bias binding to cover the new neck hole which I will probably enlarge just a little bit 1-2cm I'm thinking.

Re: Sebs sweatshop
The blue skirt looks really good with the big pockets, although a shame to have lost the dress.
