Cruise with Dad

Post by eightofnine »

Hi

Not been on here for a while, nothing really to add just been wearing skirts and living life .My mum passed away last year so it's just me and dad and we recently went on a cruise .I told him that I liked to go on a cruise on my own because i could wear what i like ,I can do at home as well but family or people who know me see me cause problems.
So he said i could wear what i like .I was surprised at this because him and mum and had never liked me wear a skirt only tolerated it .Ever time i had wore a skirt at home and we were going out he would ask me to change .
We went on Caribbean cruise ,I wore a skirt most of the time and it was good ,I didn't think he would be ok with this be he seamed ok, we spend time on the ship traveled different islands . The only issue was a gentleman thought i was a woman but as he said to me was because of my hair, my dad insisted it was because of my skirt .We are going again on Caribbean cruise the end of the month hopefully get to wear a skirt again ,if not ill stick to going on my own .

Losing a partner can cause one to re-evaluate what's really important in life, he may feel his relationship with you and your companionship is more important than what you like to wear.

A good start for him. He no doubt feels a bit easier after some exposure where all went fairly well. I can easily see how your hair, a skirt, slightly shorter with an older guy could easily mislead someone at first --- but what does it matter, not at all really. Good on you for remaining your own person. May the next outing grow his confidence, and yours.
