Carl,
In the event that I am remembered at all, I will be quite proud to be the "Guy in the Skirt".
I'll have proven that if Steve can wear a skirt as a guy, any guy can.
Sara is the name that a very young Stephen gave to that part of his ego that allowed him the licence and freedom to do just that.
The very fact of that duality helped me to survive to be able to write this now.
Steve.

Steve,
Thank you for this post. We need to get Carl (CR) out of the doom and gloom mindset and back to proudly wearing skirts everywhere. I have found that when I get in those slumps, Prozac works but you need to take it for about 10 days to see any improvement.

I'll revert to fine once the stressors are removed; I retain some resiliency.

I'm back to wearing skirts much of the time since there's no overt evidence of Gestapo operations in my area (yet), but my attire is largely guided by the weather and outside temperatures. I do not -- and never have -- handle cold very well, and the drugs I'm on for treating my childhood are taking a noticeable toll, mainly in a side-effect racking cough that causes nausea that keeps me awake at night and a likely internal bleed that exacerbates the cold by mimicking anaemia (high blood-pressure medication and anticoagulants for things I've lived with for 50 years).

Drugging me in an attempt to clear a situational problem would be entirely contraindicated. Think the conclusion to A Clockwork Orange.
