New Technologies
Re: New Technologies
The battlefield is showing some resemblance to World War I. Similar to the stasis of trench warfare. There would be a no mans land between opposing sides, and occasionally there were charges in which men would be mowed down by machine guns. The early tanks were built to overcome this.

Re: New Technologies
It would have been nice to have some context to this instead of a disembodied scrap of click-bait.

Ukraine-drones defeating Russian tanks. Very expensive machines overwhelmed by cheap ones.
Actually, an eerily similar situation occurred during World War II.

War has a way of moving technology forward at speed. The aircraft we started WW2 with compared with the aircraft we finished with makes the point.Grok wrote: ↑Wed Oct 08, 2025 5:06 am Ukraine-drones defeating Russian tanks. Very expensive machines overwhelmed by cheap ones.

AI girlfriend. Basically, a mannequin equipped for some movement and a (artificial sounding) voice.
The same with more recent videos.
I have to say that I find this to be at best unimpressive, if not simply pathetic.
Noticed posted comments which seem to expect the robots of science fiction. People, those screens aren't showing you actual robots, those are flesh and blood actresses who are paid to pretend.

Review of surrogacy.
Re: New Technologies
I have noticed the occasional mention of surrogacy in comments to YouTube videos. In videos about men who choose to remain single.
Seems a bit odd to me. I have to say that I feel almost like a Social Conservative when this I read these. My back ground may seem very old fashioned to some. My world views include traditional family structure, which I grew up with. Which was standard for society at the time, and indeed, centuries..millennia....
A bit earlier today, somebody mentioned surrogacy in relation to same sex marriage. But marriage between two straight guys! (To pool money/resources for a family created with surrogacy).
Freaking weird
