Out of town in a skirt

Post by DrFishnets »

For the first time in a few years I’ve been out of town. For the first time ever I’ve been out of town wearing a skirt. I went for a day trip with women from the sewing group to the lovely Scottish town of Blairgowrie and I decided to wear my ox blood red DM boots, 30 denier black tights and a short black pleated skirt and a dark purple tank top for the day trip away. Nobody in Blairgowrie batted an eyelid and I got one or two compliments from the women in my sewing group. Before we got the bus to Blairgowrie I seen a chubby guy in the sewing group’s canteen wearing a black mini skirt with polka dot black tights and a pink top sitting eating his lunch. :)

This visit to another town in a skirt has given me confidence to do it again in other towns and cities.
My name is Arty. I’m a guy with a passion for wearing skirts, dresses and tights and a hobbiest musician and artist. 8)

Good to spread your wings and let your skirts out. You live in a very loverly part of the world and many nice places to go around you.

I had no problems in Aberdeen, so I would encourage a trip up there. If you were to the correct pub in Aberdean, I can guarantee you seeing another skirt/dress wearing man! :)
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

Yeah Blairgowrie is beautiful as is most of the Scottish countryside and mountains. I met up with the skirt/dress wearing man you speak of last year when he took the train down to Dundee and he bought me a couple of nice cups of tea while chatting about skirts and life.

This trip to Blairgowire has definitely made it easier for me now to attend skirt meet ups around the country in a skirt.

To be honest this was a difficult challenge for me to do that I finally did with pride. Due to my anxiety I’ve not been anywhere outside Dundee for years and to finally go to another town dressed in a skirt is a big deal for me.

We are all behind you in striking out from both the man box and Dundee! Obviously, the more you do the easier it is to do more.

We would all love to see you in London whenever you can make it.

Soon you will find that wearing a skirt in public builds confidence vastly faster than most anything else you will do. Your bold, up for almost anything, side is starting to open the play curtains already! Enjoy not only the skirts, but the confidence you can use in so much more of your life -- you really can be out with your inner self!

I’ve actually been wearing a skirt in public for over a year now but it’s the first time I’ve been wearing a skirt in another town. You are right when you say this will build my confidence very quick as that’s what it’s done and it’s been great for my inner self. The sense of freedom of wearing clothes I really like and being gender fluid with fashion has been the greatest feeling I’ve ever had. No wonder I’ve become addicted to wearing skirts, dresses and tights in public. If I see any confused looking faces in public I just laugh them off but 99% of the time people just pass by without batting an eyelid.

Well done, Mr F, the first time doing anything like that isn't easy. I'm glad that you got some positive reactions from your group, it's a big boost when people let you know they're on your side.

Next, conquer Alyth and Carnoustie!
Keep on skirting,

Alastair

This past summer I went on a RV trip to Oshkosh Air Show then worked my way over to Sturgis for the motorcycle rally. The only pants wearing was when I was riding the motorcycle when I was at the rally in Sturgis.
Woman have Fashion, Men have a Uniform.
A skirt wearer since 2004 and a full time skirt wearer since 2020.
