I'm simply saying that a lone t-shirt with a quirky message might be nice individually - I don't see it having broad social impact.
The most important impact that we are expressing ourselves against all the hate that is expressed against us. We are not bottling up are feelings. This is important in keeping are mental health. Even if are slogan T-shirts doesn't persuade others to join MIS, it helps in keeping are own peace of mind and that is crucial.
It's a fair point Mr S

That works for us, but what can the people who stand with us do?

It's similar to the Pride flag. If you are actually LBGT then you can own it (possibly in danger of your life), but for everyone else they need something to latch on. If you don't like gays, you can assault them in the street. Don't like lesbians, you can jeer at them. If you don't like trans-people, you can spew vitriol on social media. But if you want to support LGBT you don't do those things but that's not very visible. Treating people as human beings is simply not visible.

So, they have a flag. It's just a symbol, but symbols are powerful things. It gives supporters something to rally around to show actual support even though they're not a member. The LGBT community is perhaps 5% of the population, we're much less. So if we want people other than MIS to be able to show support, we're going to need something. Probably not a t-shirt or sticker, but perhaps we can think of something?

As people usually don't care what is put on t-shirt, I have gotten their attention walking around with a poster board sign. On my current board sign I demand for equal rights for men in dresses & skirts. I have drivers breaking their necks in reading my poster board signs. Reading t-shirts no, but poster board signs works. I make my own signs under $2 including using vinyl lettering.
I find this is much better than giving out the middle finger and safer.

I was writing figuratively, not literally. As coarse as English can be, it has it's subtleties.

I didn't take you literally. My point was giving another option.
