There is something afoot. I have been complimented by guys, two days running. The first said he liked my style, then the one today liked my legs. To be fair my legs do look good in these blue tights, but both days I have just been in my standard work outfit with a Roman blue denim skirt. This has got to stop, otherwise I am going to need a bigger hat!
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

I almost never get compliments from men or women about my skirts but today was that male compliment.
I was playing in a golf team match against another club at their club when a fellow asked me,"Is that a skirt you're wearing?" Yes
He started wondering whether I was LGBT and asked why?
I replied that I liked it and felt comfortable wearing one and he responded," Good for you!" "Thanks." 😀

I got my first really nice compliment from. a male stranger today. It is a warm and sunny day and I was wearing a just above the knee skirt on a local walk and a council worker who was wearing a pair of quite short shorts stopped me and said, "That a nice skirt. Perfect for this weather. I wish I could wear one like that". I asked him "well, why don't you?" and his reply was that he would get sacked if he did. I didn't go into the politics of whether his employer could actually do that without being accused of discrimination as he seemed fairly sure that they could. It was nice though that he appreciated the skirt and wanted to wear one himself, if only he could.

Indeed they could Sepchugang, there is no statutory right in the United Kingdom enabling a non transgender male to wear a skirt at work.
A dress code has to be fairly applied , not equal.
It is not held to be discriminatory and that has been upheld at tribunal.

This has to be one of the most genuinely spontaneous compliments that I have ever received, and from a young guy too.
Having just been out for a very nice dinner, I will admit that I had taken a tad more care than usual with my attire.
We were just stepping off a bus when he was boarding and the appreciation stated as openly and warmly as is possible.
Did me a power of good too, and the icing on the cake, I have a very reliable witness.
I may also have a snap if I can get a copy of one taken by a colleague earlier in the day.
Her word was that I looked "radiant".

Yes, compliments from other men are rare. Today, after eating lunch at La Patrona's in Huron, SD, as I was leaving the restaurant, a young man who was entering same said, "I like your dress". It was a sincerely expressed compliment and I thanked him for it. I was wearing my modern reproduction Civil War era attire (big skirts).

Out walking round Bristol the other day wearing a knee length denim skirt. Had two males say to me how cool I looked in the skirt.

I got a rare complement today from young gentleman in his 20's about the gown I was wearing, telling me I look good in it. He was driving by me were I was walking. He turn around came back by me to give his complement. This driver has pass by me in the past. I was wearing a gown made by me from scratch. I was doing my normal thing carrying my poster sign. This was my latest sign I made this morning stating 42% of world male population don't wear pants. These poster signs works better than my t-shirts.

I received a very nice compliment yesterday afternoon from a very tall gentleman while my wife and I were shopping in a mall in a neighboring city. I was wearing my SportKilt Hiking Kilt in Black Watch Weathered Tartan. He said, "I really like the kilt you are wearing" and his wife was in agreement.

Unspoken, but confirming. I got "caught" checking out a woman's skirt in clinic recently. She had on a lanyard identifying herself as staff; and inquired if she could help me. I responded with "I was admiring your skirt, it looks like it would be fun to wear", to which she replied, with a distinct gander at my skirt, "I like yours too." Not too unusual, coming from a woman, but her male companion added a silent, affirming nod and smile that clearly was an endorsement. I don't know if the atmosphere is changing, but I received a couple of other male compliments on this last trip as well.

A couple of days ago, I was shopping at Wallymart to get cat food and
a couple other items. As I was heading to the check-out, a guy said to
me "Nice Kilt". I smiled and thanked him as we passed each other.
I was wearing a white dress shirt, Blackwatch Stillwater Kilt,
black knee-hi compression hose and black shoes. I'm still using a
shoulder bag so, no sporran with this outfit.
