Yes, it is clear that some women hate and/or despise skirted rigs.

Who knows? I'm not a women so can't say. I know a small girl saw me and went to her mum and pointed at me. The only possible reason was my skirt. Mum just ushered her along.

Girls and boys have gender impressed upon them from the start. It seems rediculous now but I have done the same to my own children. Not now of course.

I dont blame men and women for their actions. People do as they are told (mostly). That's why it's important that we keep doing what we are doing.

Just as "some" guys, me included, hate trousered rigs.

Brainwashed as kids and forced to comply as adults, no wonder the human race is screwed up.
The rest is as much as we can do!

Not relevant and I actually like it, but that illustration appears to be computer generated.
Sadly, a "real" version of that would be a rarity of the highest degree.
Not impossible maybe, but as near as makes little difference.
Yes, the illustration is AI-generated. However, if we, this way, could fool society to think that women in general have become more accepting of their husbands in skirts, it might have a positive influence on the individual wives.
After all, the impression that a skirt per se is feminine, is a pure construct. If we were just more brave men, daring to wear skirts as a natural thing, it should become much easier - like when women started wearing trousers.

If the 'real thing* is not possible, some fake illustrations might be better than none, I think.

The snag is Gerd, is that most women already approve of men in skirts as long as the man is someone else's husband/partner.
Even worse, there is no firm evidence to suggest that a majority of girls would see a boy in a skirt as a good candidate for romance.
Finally, the conditions under which women in trousers became acceptable, just do not bear comparison to our struggles for fashion freedom.
I still like the picture, but it's a dream, someone's wishful thinking.

Question posed to women-do you feel more comfortable psychologically wearing skirts/dresses, or trousers?
Whatever I wear and whatever age I have been, I find certain men think they have the right to comment on my appearance,to the extent that I feel uncomfortable and unsafe so I don't feel any difference in the type of clothes I wear psychologically.

It's not something that I or any man I'm friends with would think is an accepatble way to treat a women. Those same men that pass comment would feel equally at liberty to pass comment on a man wearing a skirt. Most men with a big mouth usually have little else, which is something to think on.

You are right, Steve. But, fortunately, most women are not all women, and we don't need a majority of girls to see something in a boy in a skirt.
Regarding the last point, I think, we men are responsible, too, for not having come further. Women wanted to wear their own trousers (slacks), their own tops, their own shoes, their own jewellery etc. The only difference were THEIR trousers.

What do many men in skirts want? Women's tops, women's shoes, women's jewellery etc. And yes, whereas MEN in skirts (and no other female items) might be acceptable to women, men, wanting everything from the female wardrobe, are not.

It has been previously pointed out that there a plenty of willing girls for MIS. You just need to look in the right place.
There are a lot of worrying developments on the web but one positive thing is that it brings like minded people together, like the skirtcafe for example.
A heterosexual skirted man will find himself a nice women out there who will appreciate his individualism.

There is someone for everyone. You wouldn't want to spend your time with bigoted people anyway!

However, if you look at this dilemma from the other direction, the situation can be turned to our advantage.

The very fact that few women are tempted to form romantic relationships with skirt-wearing men means that, once a woman has managed to see past the initial difficulties, has fallen in love with a man in a skirt, and supports his unconventional sartorial inclinations, she can be fairly sure that he will stick with her through any subsequent rough times in their relationship. Once she has got him, he's unlikely to stray.

Think how those MIS who are forced to wear their skirts in secret so envy those of us who have the good fortune to have understanding and supportive wives/partners!

If most women were to have an equal propensity to fall and stay in love, no matter what their man is wearing, then the wife/partner of a skirt-wearing man will have no special hold on him - he can probably find another sympathetic woman without any great effort.

I don't know if the answers are in any way skewed. If we assume that they are a fair representation of womens views.....

A majority of women are more psychologically comfortable in trousers than skirted rigs.

A distant second is a group who experience equal psychological comfort in either trousers or skirted rigs.

The smallest group are women who are more psychologically comfortable in skirted rigs than trousers.

Sorry FamilyMan, I actually fail to see the disadvantage to the male in this scenario.
The very fact that sympathetic supportive partners are rarer than hen's teeth creates that inequality that men in skirts face in their relationships right now.
Negotiating the resilience of a relationship, based on clothing doesn't sound like a great formula for happiness either I'm afraid.

Gerd, on the basis that there are a lot more men in the full femme cross-dressing community who are married etc than men in skirts, the evidence suggests otherwise.
Even the kilt wearers, male garment, even macho, are not getting automatic support.

I know this comes over as bleak and pessimistic, we can strive for change as we do but do not expect real progress anytime soon.

I wonder if more guys realised that it is entirely possible to dress in whatever you like and not worry about passing, wigs and bathrooms etc. by remaining a man, whether more would choose to be MIS.

Mouse, that's a very good point.
It was certainly a huge turning point in my skirted journey.
I would say that my situation was based on pig ignorance and lack of information.
Nowadays though, no explanation that I can come back with.

Mine too and this cafe helped me see it by members like denimini (Crocodile Dundee in a mini skirt) and many others. It is some of the reason I take so many pictures of me outside in crowds to show the vast range of clothes you can wear as a man and "get away with it..."
