Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
At this point, I would say my (original design) Macabis. Like the (below the knee) length. Like the excellent pockets. Like that these are available in more colors than typical male drab trousers.
I've only started wearing skirts a few months ago, so I'm still exploring. For now my favourite type has become the skater skirt, which ends just above the knee. Aside from the gentle touch on my thighs while walking, it's like wearing nothing at all. I also think it looks good on me While walking in the city the other day, I could see my reflection in the windows. When I saw it flow in the breeze, I was thinking to myself: damn that looks cute.
A pull-on elasticised flared pleated short skirt 20-23 inches to above the knee preferrably with flat front & kick-pleats and slash pockets big enough for male hands, not black, but some colour, plaid, tartan or corduroy. Could be dressy. Denim would be way down the list.
