Dr Who Season 2 with Ncuti Gatwa

Season 2 with Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor will be airing in the UK from this Saturday. Apparently, according to the BBC website, he will be wearing a kilt in every episode.

Not the first time a kilt has been on Dr Who. Fraser Hines’ Jamie McCrimmon wore a kilt as his costume back in the 1960’s as one of Patrick Troughton’s companions.

Anyway, it’s great to see the kilt appearing as part of Ncuti Gatwa’s Dr Who outfit. I remember reading that he was going to wear a skirt too.

BTW, I used to be a big Dr Who fan back in the 1980’s. However I’m not to keen on the new series.

Looks like the bbc website was telling porkies because Ncuti Gatwa still hasn’t worn a kilt yet and we have had three episodes so far. He did wear a strange skirt with trousers at the beginning of the first episode but so far nothing.

I agree the BBC article has got this wrong. All I've seen so far was at the start of the first episode where he was wearing a blue pin stripe kilt type skirt over trousers. Nothing since then. Disappointed.

I watched the final episode of Dr Who and the only good thing about it was Ncuti Gatwa’s outfit which consisted of a pin striped utility kilt and matching waistcoat (as seen on the photo on the post above) which I really liked. I’d love to buy the same utility kilt outfit.
