Unusual compliment

Post by Faldaguy »

We went to a "coffee" night event yesterday. The local school does one of these each month, with a different class sponsoring the evening -- usually selling food before a "talent show" -- serving as fund raisers for class trips, etc. This one was an extra event, as a fundraiser for an immigrant support project -- so a community event we have often attended. Last night, one of the teachers said: "I always want to borrow from your wardrobe"! I don't think she has ever complimented my attire before -- so hearing that she had not only been observing, but positively, was a new twist and perhaps confirmation that we MIS have a lot more acceptance out there than we realize, if there is 'silent admiration' at work.

I think we would be surprised by how much we are secretly admired by others, both men and women, that we have the confidence to wear what we want to wear.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

I find women are much more likely to pass opinion on my outfit when skirted than when I am wearing trousers.
Maybe they feel an affinity with skirted men that allows them the freedom to pass comment?
