Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
This isn't a skirt - it's being sold as a pair of add-on pockets. But with a longer skirt, or perhaps a different colored denim skirt, could look cool:
Well, half a skirt which will equally display your bum as well. Perhaps a guy could wear it over pants as a half way transition to wearing a skirt.
Seriously, it could overcome the problem with a skirt that didn't have pockets.
My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.

I was thinking the latter situation - skirt sans pockets.
There is a zipper all the way round the hem of the short skirt which attaches to top of the extension bit which has the other side of the zipper. In a site selling the skirt new they call it a "zip off tech cargo skirt" https://www.generalpants.com/gb/insight ... GE-GP.html
Just further shows how wide skirt design is compared to trousers, although I believe there are trousers where the legs can be zipped off to form shorts.

When I was a Scout leader our uniform pants had zip-off legs around the knee area to convert to and from shorts, handy on hikes where the weather changes from low elevation to high elevations. Never saw a skirt form though! Neat.
My Mountain Hardware hiking kilts are made of very similar fabric and the same colour...I love wearing them ..Definitely more skirt wrap skirt than a kilt I guess ..I'd never get away with one this short and long would be no good for me either but good to see something different ..
