Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. I went to the prerelease Multimedia screening of Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice in Leicester Square IMax last night, since my daughter had a spare ticket and invited me along as part of her work. Of course, I went along in my home made black denim skirt with purple stitching, matching a purple T-Shirt and purple Dr Marten boots. There were others dressed in stripes or goth looking.
The film was a creative master piece of visual laughs. You have to go with the flow as the story flips between the living world and the dead world without taking breath. I think you will either love it or hate it. We both enjoyed the film and had a great night.
It is released in cinemas on the 6th of September in the UK.
36 years since the first version, Beetlejuice, came out.
It was funny then and I hope the "new release/update" is as good or better.
Looking at IMDB.com, several 'versions' have been released.
It's a great, and funny, way to get into the Spirit of Halloween
I hope that Michael Keaton hasn't lost 'his flair' in this remake

I think you will find Michael Keaton with all 'his flair' in this new one taking the story forward. As you say, a great lead into Halloween. Which is probably why it has been released now.
I have an old VHS copy of the original movie and still watch it. Yes I still have working VHS machines, as I do not like to throw out stuff that still works. I still use DVDs as well. I also use direct to digital movies too.
But I do not enjoy them as much as I don't own them like I do the VHS and DVDs. So I can't watch them when the mood strikes. And have to pay to watch them again.
