History is full of Men in Skirts

Maybe this has already been posted but just in case:

Usual history lesson but enough in there I didn't know to make it interesting. Snappydragon is a real advocate for MIS and that's a good thing.

Good video. She really made good points in why men should wear skirts and the history of men’s fashion was very interesting. I agree with her that men’s clothing is boring and I’m sure most of the fellow skirt cafe members on here agree with that too.

Gods, that woman has one annoying voice, but she makes a point.
Historically, in different periods and cultures, skirts and dresses as we know them now were not "woman's wear".
Most of the modern problem with men in skirts is that they are.
Try the concept of human wear with lots of people and they will reject it or at best, pay lip service to it.
I'm not totally convinced that everyone around here gets it so wider society can be cut some slack.
BTW, I won't be rushing to order the bedding either.
Steve.

I'd say that depends on who is between them BM.

I finally got round to watching this. I like anything where a female is advocating for men to wear skirts. I wonder, whether she has met many modern MIS? I do wonder where we should reach out to people like her and introduce skirtcafe.org to her, there again if she has done her research she probably knows of us already.
Daily, a happy man in a skirt...

What a good idea mouse.
One thing she said was something on the lines of: she belongs to a group that has been socialised to wear female gendered clothing. I knew what 'socialised' means and I know how it affects us but hadn't really thought about it that much. It has deep ramifications.

The are things open to us as men that women just don't do. I'm going clay shooting this morning in Newbury there will be about 200 men and maybe 5 women. Probably because women have socialised not to shoot.
