Good luck Fred -- the newer equipment, and Docs, in hospitals these days does wonders with the older equipment we are carrying around -- I counting on them and you for heartfelt thanks....Pura Vida

Just got word from my daughter in Tampa that she will come up here and stay with me for how ever long I need her. She will be taking me to the hospital and when finished bring me home and watch over me.
So I don't have to worry about being alone if something should go wrong.

And again thanks for all of the good thoughts.

Well tomorrow I go to hospital for the heart cath. :(
My daughter arrived yesterday and will be staying for a few days until I am up and around.
Depending on what they find I may be home by late afternoon or may have to stay for a while. So they can do what ever is necessary to get me back to good heart health.

So I will probably be back on Saturday, or soon after.

Well hi guys and gals,

Today started at 6:00AM and went down hill fast. After having to answer the alarm clock :shaking2: . I got ready to go to the hospital, My daughter and I arrived at 7:30 AM sharp and the check in started. By 8AM I was in the OR Prep area and on a gurney. I then had to strip down to my bare skin and put on one of those open back gowns. Then more paper work, then they started prep on me. They attached electrodes for and EKG and and IV was put in my left arm. By now it was 9:40AM and I was laying there waiting my turn in the Cath Lab. At about 10:40AM they came and got me. I was rolled down about a half mile of corridors to the lab/OR. Once there they started more prep by hooking up the IV and shaving the nether area, attaching the EKG machine and painting my nether area purple with an antiseptic soap. Then they started moving in all kinds of fancy equipment hanging from the ceiling over me. The doctor came in and made his cut and inserted the Cath in my upper right leg. This went on for about 30 minutes. after he removed it and made sure the I would not bleed out from having a blood vessel cut open. He brought up the screen and showed me what he saw and explained that the only bad thing he found was the pressure on one side of my heart was too high and he would work with me on fixing that. I was then wheeled back to my room to lay about for about two hours. We left the hospital at about 3PM heading home. Since I had had nothing to eat since 10PM the night before I needed food.
We stopped at Arby's and got roast beast sammies and I got a milk shake. Got home and ate, then I went to bed for about 4 hours. Some pain but nothing I can't handle.
So I made it and the experience was a lot better than the last time I did this. :thumleft:

That is great news. What a relief to have that over and done with.

Fred, now that you are well, when I saw the title I thought it might have been like Carl's problems of the heart; I am not sure what is the worse affliction. It seems that yours was easiest fixed in the end.

Yes it was a lot easier to fix than Carl's. I have been in Carl's position with the women once or twice myself so I have a fair idea what Carl went through.
I am still having some problems with the ole ticker but the doctor I have is one of the best in 3 states and I believe him when he says I should have at least another 10 to 15 years left in my old body. (80 now)
