Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

There was no choice in the heat of the moment, so I just went ahead and did the job without griping about it.
Had I known the previous day that I'd have been under somebody's desk when I was wearing a skirt would I have made a different decision? Likely not. The cards fall where the cards fall.
Women harp on this way too much. It's part of the "Patriarchy" myth.

Are you complaining that women harp on too much about not being allowed to wear pants, on a website dedicated to men harping on about not being allowed to wear skirts?

They harp on it in daily life. It's one of the reasons why we have that vast damn sea of denim and women wearing "leggings" when aesthetically they have the wrong body shape for them. It's part of the dumbing-down of fashion and style.
We don't get much of it here because we don't have that many women members.

In my opinion, I think it’s disingenuous to suggest women complain too much about being not allowed to wear something when this entire cafe is dedicated to men not being allowed to wear skirts.
Again, only in my opinion, I believe we should all be allowed to wear whatever we please regardless of what others think of us.
Yeah… all I’ll add is - less dress codes, please. I will refrain from saying where those dress codes came from - we can “move on” and loosen the rules up a bit.
