Generally, the wearers possess a surplus of guts and a lack of other things, like taste.
Glad you enjoyed yourselves though and welcome back to the grind.

Yesterday morning, while I was waiting at our local bus station in Surrey, a big man with a great white beard stepped off a parked bus and made for the drivers' office, where he was soon in conversation with the others. He was wearing a plain dark blue kilt, which looked very smart to me. It seemed uncontroversial.

It is so much more refined in Surrey rather than grotty Hampshire.
Kilts are a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Everyone is OK with kilts 💪. As soon as the skirt comes out it's a different matter. I like kilts, I have a tarten skirt but I don't want to be restricted to just kilts.
So I'm not restricted and I suffer then consequences which admittedly are not that bad.
