Hot, hot weather!
Hot, hot weather!
Abnormally hot through June and July here in southern Oregon
and the Pacific Northwest.
It's so nice to wear a skirt and feel free-flowing air through my
vital parts.
I now have more "freedom" than before, to enjoy my collection
of skirts at more times and in more places.
The collection hasn't changed much. Two serviceable blue denim,
five Laura Scott five-pocket, three camouflage Bayou from Cabela's,
one black Skirtcraft.
All knee-length, belt loops, zip front. I know, I'm the most boring
guy in Skirtcafe!
and the Pacific Northwest.

Hola Bertino56,
I was not aware of other SK "ducks" about the State, save Dave in PDX. I'm hanging out in Oregon too currently trying to help my folks with the notion and reality of a transition to Assisted Living, but we always try to get in an excursion south when here as we still "own" property in Jackson County and have many friends in the Rogue Valley -- and I'm always skirted, mostly "boring" too, but I toss in some more flamboyant bits from time...be great to create our own 'SK' for a brief meet up if we can make it down that way this trip. If keen on such, let us know what town to put on the route.
I have a friend in Talent who dons skirts with some regularity, but mostly at home or for his Hawaiian connections. Not sure of others but I'd think there were certainly be a few in Ashland -- you've certainly got the Hot, hot weather!

Hot weather
When I finally went to bed Friday morning at 3:30AM, the outside temp was 82*F
And people wonder why I wear skirted garments
(Love that natural cooling effect

Re: Hot, hot weather!
It's been rough in the mornings in Florida for walking, been wearing my running kilt (JWalking Designs) every morning and it helps for sure, more comfortable than shorts thanks to the breeze.

Re: Hot, hot weather!
I agree the cooling effect is great. I also am pretty boring, gray and black mostly. I also think that if we are going to get skirts more accepted we need to be boring until people get comfortable seeing men in skirts. I have only been wearing skirts since March and haven't had anyone say anything negative. Keep wearing them and hopefully it will become mainstream soon.

Re: Hot, hot weather!
Well we have had a cooling today as it only got up 106F.
I am glad I wear skirts as it helps to be cooler than if I was wearing shorts.
My home is insulated but with the thermostat 77F the temperature in the house was 84F and the air conditioner was running full speed. This was 2 days ago the outdoor temp was a warm 113F.

Re: Hot, hot weather!
Late summer in Seattle. Late afternoon. Sunny, and uncomfortably warm.
I was doing my aerobics-a brisk walk around the neighborhood, wearing RunningKilt. (I gave up jogging when I got arthritis in my knees).
A fair number number of people out and about, some walking their dogs. The men were wearing shorts, and I felt sorry for them. I and a young lady in a short dress were likely way more comfortable than them.

Re: Hot, hot weather!
It was 34 C yesterday and I had to spend all day in a bowls uniform and didn't even get to play ..An extra player turned up who had travelled a big distance so I gave up my spot in the team to allow him to play. Ended up working around the club to help with catering and the greens while they took part in the tournament . Finally got home at about 7 pm and with two daylight hours still to go I got quickly out of the long green bowls trousers and put on my Mountain Hardware kilt ...It was awesome ...Didn't go anywhere , did enough getting around in the heat as it was but the kilt was purely relaxing and comfortable ...way , way better than any pair of shorts that's for sure ..
