Real men in Skirts

Is it strange or predictable that many men stand in such an agressive way when modelling skirts? Is it because they feel they need to compensate to maintain their macho manliness?
I am somewhat relieved that this is not reflected in the photos in the Cafe.



Obviously; his mum didn't tell him to do up his shoe laces and the black camouflage is so it will be difficult to see the skirt in the dark.

When I first saw this, I thought "hooray, another camouflage skirt!"
Then I saw that it was about 6 inches too long. I like knee-length.
It looks like a cargo skirt, with velcro pockets. I avoid cargo shorts
(and cargo skirts). I like regular slot pockets, front and back, like
a good pair of jeans. No velcro.
The unlaced boots look ridiculous. The belt loops are way too wide,
unless you're wearing a militia-type ammunition belt.
Altogether it is a rugged, durable looking garment. I guess they wanted
the aggressive pose to show off that "manly" aspect. I don't mind
the dark camouflage pattern.
Is this being sold somewhere?
Question: Have the Scots ever worn military kilt in camouflage patterns?

Since some weeks Mr Oost wears a skirt when he goes biking in Holland. Or Germany for that matter.
Once in a while, I make a picture of me, trying to look cool and relaxed.
Later some of them are posted on my facebook account.
This is to show the people I entrusted I do like wearing skirts, because it relaxes me.
I want them to give my friends and family a picture of the new me.
Hopefully I do look cool and not ridiculous . . .

I would have to say that Mr. Oost looks just fine in that outfit. For a casual look, it's well put-together, the colours work, and it looks temperature-appropriate.

And the question was asked to Scott's wear camouflage?
In a manner of speaking yes! The dies that were used to make the tartan of the Kilts were drawn from natural sources so the colors that would be reflected in the tartan would be the colors that one would see in the district for the tart with woven. This resulted in a tartan that tended to blend in to the scenery and Walla! Camouflage!.
Please forgive any glitches I'm dictating this into an old iPhone and Siri doesn't always get it right.
By the way plantartans are a fairly recent innovation. The clan tartans caught on I have a fab during Queen Victoria's rain and everyone felt that they should have a tartan that is connected to their family name so tartans begin to be developed for that purpose . What came before that were district tartans that is tartans that were connected CERT to a certain area or a plan recited.

I believe Bill uses Siri as a result of impaired vision and hearing. Sure, the posts are difficult to read, but I'd rather he continues and me decipher them than not see them at all.

I do use the dictation feature on my iPhone.My typing while more precise is abominably slow. Wow things are better when using the computer there are some mild issues with navigation while using my screen reader . It is actually easier to use the iPhone to post messages here at the café. I understand that there are issues with using the dictation and Siri often garbles what I say.
But it is easier. It would help I think just slow down and not get a head of myself so much. I tend to think about what I'm going to say next while dictating what I'm currently writing. Not good! LOL!
These issues are one of the reasons I don't post often here at the café but tend to lurk instead.
You should hear how Siri or rather the voiceover reads some things to me at times .
Dave, I know your screen name is fashion pioneer Siri reads it as: "Station Pee-o-a-beer"
My wife says I sound like I'm doing a comedy routine sometimes when I am dictating I'll post as I insert punctuation into the text. When Hmm, should take it on the road ya think?

Anyway, I don't want you to think I am upset as I'm not I do really understand your frustration and I will strive to be more careful about my enunciation and punctuation in future.
