Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

Those phrases have not reached EFL text books yet!
That's because they remain in the general classification of "slang"; however that does not diminish their evocative power or their usefulness.
Muffin top I'm familiar with, but arse antlers I'm not. Enlighten me please.
I am not certain, but I think this was originally coined for visible underwear (thongs/g-strings) protruding from the low cut jeans/trousers when the wearer (generally female) bends or squats. It now seems to be used for tattoos in the same region.

The former is known as a "whale tail", and is generally considered tacky. "Arse antlers" refers to the latter.

"whale tail" and "tramp stamp" are what I'm used to hearing here in the Pacific Northwest.
It looks like "muffin top" is pretty universal.

Social norms aren't changed by Congress or Parliament; they're changed by a sufficient number of people ignoring the existing ones and publicly practicing new ones.
At my choir practice this evening, skirted as ever, I noticed that one of the women was wearing a skirt identical to mine. Hard not to notice actually, as it was a scarlet mini. Was passed each other briefly while clearing up at the end. "We have the same skirt" says she. "You look good in it" says I. What else was there to say?
Was hoping to get a somewhat longer exchange in the pub afterwards, but she didn't go this evening.

Looks very nice, and it looks warm too.

Its funny every time I have a question you seem to come up with the answer . Over in MY MANY MINIS we have been having a discussion of trying to find a jacket or sport coat that would work well with a shorter skirt. The jacket you have on in this picture looks like it would work well and present a business like out fit. If I can ask what type is it and where did you get it.
This is a nice outfit. I especially like the prior picture with the blue top. Its great the way you take a basic one color outfit and add a touch of color .
You seen to give a great deal of thought to your outfits. Do me a favor I have a few outfits in my Minis blog. Good or BAD I would appreciate your opinion.

Thanks for the response, and for the compliment on my attire. Regarding the jacket, it's a Gloria Vanderbilt black denim jacket from Sears, more casual than dressy which worked best for my outing. I have that jacket in black and regular blue denim, and yes, it does work well with short skirts. Speaking about my attire, I don't just pull on a skirt and go, I devote a great deal of time and effort into putting together my outfits, assembling tops, bottoms, shoes and accessories (all women's) to present a complete, stylish and tasteful image while out and about in public. To me, it's all about looking my very best so I can blend in with my surroundings. And I'll be sure to swing by your blog.
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.
