Thanks for the kind words, everyone! Much appreciated. I'll admit that the summer heat (and it's been brutal in my neck of the woods) made me too lazy to go out and about, but I'll try to make up for lost time.

A few days ago I was waiting to board a plane in Minneapolis when a fellow came up, "Just wanted to say you're not alone in your fashion choice... here's my card." I was wearing a plain blue skirt, just below the knee length, smooth light fabric with liner. We chatted a bit; he is a traditional kilt maker from Spokane, Washington. He apologized for the fact that he was not in a kilt, but of course he often is. I asked, if he made me one, would it "take the whole nine yards" and he said in my case probably about eight. It's always nice to find another kindred spirit!

Yesterday, I dressed up for an outing to the Philadelphia Art Museum. I enjoy being dolled up for when I immerse myself in culture, even while everyone around me wore casual clothing, and no one gave me so much as the time of day during the nearly four hours I spent there.

Yes, I would certainly expect an art museum to be open to self-expression.

I've worn skirts to our local museums often. I don't wear heels though because I generally walk a mile or more each way to get there.
Provided the fog lifts above the treetops, there is an exhibit I would like to see tomorrow since it is closing in three or four weeks.

I'm lucky since the parking garage is only half a block from the museum. Meanwhile, I wore another printed skirt on an outing yesterday, solid color skirts are nice to wear, but printed skirts are even nicer, and they look good on me.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. Much appreciated. Here's what I wore on an outing yesterday, the skirt, like the one I sported the other day is lined, and even though it was fairly hot, what with temps having reached into the low 90's, I felt perfectly comfortable.
