Interesting. But what about the connecting piece? That sounds uncomfortable. Can't wait to hear your report.

I don't see how it can behave like a skirt, still seems too connected... Nice try on their part, but comes off as idiotic to me.

Not sure I see the point of them - it looks like they must have some sort of underwiring to create a fake shorts look.

It reminds me a bit of Eric Morcambe's shorts as in this youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUBU-zqqYXE

If this appeals to someone, I'd certainly give them the fashion freedom to wear it.

I do hope it'd be a half-way step toward wearing a complete skirt but whatever. We should all wear what we want.
Courage, conviction, nerve, verve, dash, panache, guts, nuts, balls, gall, élan, stones, whatever. Get some and get skirted.

Interesting idea, and maybe it would help some men to overcome their fear of wearing a skirt. So it is to be applauded.

But I can't see how it works. The model has his legs close together in all the shots except the last one, where the skirtiness is revealed. How would it look when you walk? How do the front and back panels stay in the "half shorts" shape? I look forward to reading all about it, preferably with photos of walking or standing with legs apart!
Keep on skirting,

My speculation is this explanation
NOTE: The only fabric connecting the front to the back is a small light weight fabric, in the crotch area
means there is a crotch holding it together, then it hangs. That doesn't sound as comfortable as a true skirt. Yes, I'd like to hear more, also.

Ok, it arrived yesterday.

Very nicely made. It is made from a new pair of shorts from Walmart. The tag on it says no boundries.

The photos on e-bay are pretty accurate. I have looked at myself in the mirror and it looks so convincing but sit down in front of a mirror and you can tell its a skirt.

The connecting piece is really small, and what it does is pull the crotch area in the front and back together. I wish there was a way to not have the connecting piece.

Honestly when looking at either the front or back you cannot immediately tell its a skirt. The back is really convincing! It is pulled in so much that it really looks like shorts. The front isn't in as much but again, without really close inspection, you cannot tell its a skirt.

The feel of it is a cross between shorts and a skirt. Because the legs are defined, you can feel the fabric on your legs like you would in shorts. The connecting piece is right below the crotch and when you sit down you can feel it. The length of the shorts are about 22 inches, I wish they were 20 inch shorts to start with. That is a good length for a skirt for me, also 18 or 19 inches. Any shorter and sitting down would be a problem!

This is something that I have been looking for. I posted earlier this year showing the skirts I had custom made oversees to look like shorts.

I will have to test it out now that the weather is better in my part of the country. I will get some photos and post them to this thread.

I appreciate them making this, I hope they continue and refine the design more.

I really enjoy wearing skirts, but for many different reasons, I cannot go public with them. This would be a way to wear them in public, without people knowing.

Some years ago a bloke took two knives and riveted them together in such a way that the cutting edges worked against each other. He found the device quite useful for all manner of cutting applications. Perhaps his invention might be of service in eliminating the offending bit of material.

If I did use this devise you talk about BobM and cut out the connecting piece of fabric, the entire effect is eliminated.

Not for me, I'm afraid. I have shorts like this that are shorts and cost a fraction of the price. $40 or about 25 quid or so would be too much. If I'm going to wear a skirt I'll wear one and not these or skorts otherwise our mission seems to be diluted somehow. The nearest I have is a skirt with inbuilt knickers. Still, each to their own, if they meet your needs then go for them but not for me.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

Why not make one yourself if you like the concept?

I found this article on the interweb -

http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/hyperspace/s ... ecret.html

seems pretty much what the $40 ebay skirt is. The guy made his from 17" long shorts which may be better for some.

Must ask, a plain skirt with the correct pleat, front and rear, same effect?
