Thanskgiving Day

Post by sapphire »

Happy Thanksgiving to all friends in the US and a joyful day to everyone. We just returned home from a wonderful buffet with friends. Great time.

And yours truly got a comment of, "That's cool!" from a young woman who walked by.

Rig: Cream-coloured mid-calf-length silk skirt, lilac/periwinkle dress shirt, red double-vested silk brocade waistcoat, dark burgundy necktie, and black velvet belt. And a 120-year-old pocket-watch. Sapphire says it was "nice enough" but I guess nothing unusual.

She stole the show with a blue skirt, purple shirt and a rust-coloured cardigan over that.

Yeah. I even wore oxblood colored pumps and (gasp!) nylons and a necklace of bronze beads.

That cream colored skirt is 100% silk and is one of my skirts that he has co-opted.

Given the difference in height between you, do you find that many of your skirts look right on him?
Keep on skirting,

This particular skirt is long on me, nearly ankle length. On him it hits mid calf. So it works for either of us.

I went through a period when I bought skirts that were longer on me, so they do work appropriately on him.

Now, if he was inclined to wear my denim mini, it would look like a belt.
