If only!

Post by Sarongman »

If I was in my 20s again, and richer than I am now, I'd take this challenge on.
1958 LR Station Wagon.jpg
It's a rare 1958 Series One just before the S2 model and more of a wreck than this piccie shows. Also the owner wants $8000.00, which is far too much!

Yeh, series 1 parts are getting hard to find, I would got for a series 2 or 3 if I was going for a landrover, but I will stick with my trusty Shogun/Pajero. It has luxuries like room for my right arm and also windows that are as high as my eyes, I hate not being able to see out of the side windows on landrovers without ducking.

Ah yes! one of the advantages of being a runty little bloke is that I fit comfortably into a Land Rover traditional style. I drove a 1955 series one 107 utility in the late sixties and, consequently, have a soft spot for them. I'd like to get an early model with no synchromesh on 1st & 2nd to teach my granddaughter how to drive around the paddocks as she is only 13 going on 14 and will still fit, She's going to be a tall girl so I'd better start soon, In doing so she'd then find a modern manual box ridiculously easy.
