I wonder what that tome would have to say about our skirts? :twisted:
As I recall, a pink dress shirt to wear with a suit was one of the staples (along with white and blue). I know I had at least one.
I had pink shirts through a good deal of the late '70s and early '80s. I got away from colourful stuff in the mid- to late -'80s, and then started up again in the late '90s. Skirts didn't come into play until the early '00s (naughties?).

Back in the late eighties when I started working, I mostly wore stripey shirts. Plain shirts of any colour were a rarity for me. Now I have plenty of plain ones, usually including a pink one. Plenty other men in the office wear pink shirts now and again, and nobody thinks it is at all unusual or womanly.

I also have a pair of pink trousers. They started out a fairly pale shade of red, but they have faded and they are now undeniably pink. They occasionally elicit comments from people I am with, but never from anyone else. Brightly coloured trousers are in fashion this year so maybe I will wear them on days when I want to look conventional!

For men's skirt day I will probably wear a suit and tie, just like any other work day.

Curious, I just typed an inspired guess into a French dictionary website. Excellent, very funny! :lol: :lol:

You just reminded me of my somewhat bright magenta shirt, fairly wide tie, and my medium blue double breasted sportscoat! Plus... almost shoulder length hair. Yep... the early '70s. What great times they were... for the most part!

Indeed, the early '70s were the very last time that there was any sense of experimentation in men's styles; I rather miss the time. However, as is the case whenever experimentation is undertaken, sometimes the experiments will be failures -- sometimes stunning, abject, failures -- and, sadly, the failures were allowed to define the time and the proverbial baby was thrown out with the bath-water. Sad. So now it's Dockers and Polo shirts. {vomit}

On Skirt Day, I plan to be a vision in Orange. Orange tapered knee length cotton skirt, orange T-shirt, Orange top Sneakers, Orange Rim Sunglasses. And I live in Florida, the Sunshine and Oranges state. :faint: :faint:

Oh by the way, my avatar pic was updated a year ago and I've not cut my hair since then. It's about 3 inches above my waist and lays on my back like a carpet. Still mostly blond too. :D :D
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.
