That looks fine.

I did the same with a long skirt I found on the market last year -- pure wool made in Scotland and man's style (right-hand) opening. Far less cloth than a trad kilt, making it light and a pleaure to wear in warmer weather. But the best part : it cost me just 1 (one) euro !!!

Yes, a good job has been done and looks just the ticket.

As an exercise I tried to identify the tartan but was unable to. You could use this website to put in the sequence of colours and it may come up with something. (The photo was not quite sharp enough to pick out all of the narrow stripes)

Tried this website too under MacLennan - but it doesn't seem to be any of those listed as all Maclennan tartans have quite a few red stripes...

Perhaps you can have better luck identifying the tartan?
