Re: Facebook - Men's Skirts
Just an update, We have past the 100 friends mark in Men's Skirts and continue to grow. I have also added many designers who have already designed men's skirts and have been talking with one designer who has said to me that she will be doing more men's skirts. I really hope that this site can continue to promote men's skirt especially among designers. If they can see that there is an interest for skirts for men they will no doubt be incouraged to design more. This facebook site is all about providing a visual references to skirted men and the education for why men should wear skirts.

Re: Facebook - Men's Skirts
Just want to give an update on Men's Skirts on Facebook. For some time the site had growing with about 1or 2 requests every week but the most strangest thing happened this weekened. From Saturday morning to Monday morning I had a massive influx of requests, about 350 people have been added. What is even more interesteing is that 70% of the requests have been from women. The comments have been realy encouraging. So many of these women from all over are in full support of men in skirts/kilts. Most of these people had shared my pictures so I have been able to see more comments on their personal site, and again, all possitive towards men in skirts/kilts. One thing I noticed as I have been seeing more recently is that all the women swoon at the sight of a man in a kilt. I really believe this is a great incouragement to our movement. I am also more convinced that kilts are the key to getting unbifurcated garments accepted as mainstream everday mens garments, and the garment that will do away with this silly taboo that men dont wear skirts.

Give me about 2 weeks and I hope I will have some news to help spread the word.
I have something in the pipeline, something big I hope.
I am excited by the current swell of interest including in your fb page.
I would like to use all this activity for the cause.
I am just not ready to share to much yet, but soon.

Good exercise, picking women up off the floor!SkirtRevolution wrote:... One thing I noticed as I have been seeing more recently is that all the women swoon at the sight of a man in a kilt.
I have not had much opportunity to do that myself; no-one has yet swooned on seeing me.
Yes, the fb page seems to be attracting some attention, which is good, though how many of the friends (if that is the word) actually go out in open garments/go out with men in open garments, remains to be seen.
I have a feeling it might be more theory than practice.
I do agree that there is more chance of getting scottish-style kilts accepted than any other kind of skirt, at least in those parts of the world that now something about Scotland. But who knows?

Re: Facebook - Men's Skirts
Just an update on the facebook site for Men's Skirts. As of this post we are 1,259 friends strong and growing. I am amazed by the amount of women that have been adding me as friends. One lady wrote in response to a picture of men in kilts....."Damn. Men, take notice. Women like this". I think comments like these are a sign that people are not really that opposed to the idea of men in skirts/kilts, EVEN if they don't know it yet; They just need to be given a good masculine looking example, and not an example that reinforce preconceived ideas of a man crossdressing.

Re: Facebook - Men's Skirts
It's no wonder so many women enjoy the photos with so many of the guys are shown bare chested and quite muscular. As far as getting the image of a guy in a skirted garment into the public eye, your doing a great job. Keep it up.
