Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
Oaky! I started a new web sites for anyone interested in trying to SAVE skirts as everyday garments in our day to day life! As was suggested by Sapphire in another post.
This is just inteneded to be fun! Not a dreadully serious endeavor!
Right now everything is open to everyone who joins.
I haven'e tried to moderate anything yet!
I will, if I see too many ????????? of the wrong type of people or posting showing up!
It's in an adult group ONLY because their options in non adults just didn't seem to fit anything I wanted to say!
Don't know how long this will last. Just hope some people joion and we can spread the word.
Let's save skirts for both women and men before they go away completely! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SaveSkirts/

When asked 'Why the Kilt?'
I respond-The why is F.T.H.O.I. (For The H--- Of It)
But why is the group in the category "crossdressing"?
I can't see the connexion, since women in trousers do not consider they are cross-dressed, and nor do those men thliberated enough to vote go unibifurcated, for comfort, for equality, for liberty and -- why not -- for fraternity, too.

I've not looked at it as I do not have a Yahoo login, nor do I particularly need nor want one; however, if the thing is under the "crossdressing" category it is misplaced for this crowd and I don't see it getting much traction, for this lot doesn't play that role.

Nor do I. Lumping it into the "crossdressing" category merely perpetuates the stereotype.

I suspect that at this point, only "skirtonians" of either gender are inclined to wear skirted garments everyday. Some (non-hard core) women may occasionally wear such.
I still wanted this in the adult status. It's not for children, after all.
Though I can see no harm in children knowing they could wear something other
then what our culture tells them to wear. But they pretty much do what they
want now.
So I have now moved to the catagory of "Advice" rather than crossdressing.
Looking over today, with more time on my hands I found that catagory is
available and makes more sense.
This isn't about crossdressing in any way shape or form.
And I hope we'll find women to join too.
I hope this explains things!
Sorry about the mix up!
I guess I will not see it. I'm against being forced to "JOIN" a site in order to see what is there. Opening myself up for ads, unwanted comments and unsolicited stuff is outside what I go online for. Being asked to join in order to comment I can understand, being told to join in order to read comments is too much.
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.
Story of Life, Perspire, Expire, Funeral Pyre!I've been skirted part time since 1972 and full time since 2005. http://skirts4men.myfreeforum.org/
Nice idea but I shall have to decline as I have too little time available nowadays to spend on this topic, though my interests are always 1000%. But good luck with it!

I agree 100%.
You could always try the bugmenot website. It allows folks to share user names and logons for sites so you do not need to register for yourself. I've used it a few times for accessing newspaper websites to leave comments.
Have fun,
