Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. I've been watching what I think is a very good TV series on TNT. It's one of those really short summer series. Don't know why they make them so short. This one is Falling Skies. I thought it was going to be kind of catoonish. But I watched the first one out of curiousity, since Steven Speilberg is an executive producer. Found it to be pretty good. This Sunday night is the season finale. Has anyone else watched it or liked it?
Has anyone else seen Cowboys and Aliens yet?
I missed that one this weekend.
My pick for the best movie so far this year is Super 8. Boy did that one surprise me!
On, well, that's my thoughts for today.
YES! I watch Falling Skies and love every bit of it
You're so right:!: It will be a "Too-Short" season. The acting is very good
Fantastic, really--the actors were well chosen for their respective roles.

Cowboys & Aliens? sounds, and from the preview I have seen, it looks, like Firefly to me. Firefly was a hidden gem, a real pity the network pulled the plug on that one.
I am the God of Hellfire! and I bring you truffles!
If 'they' tried to revive it, I doubt that Nathan Fillian(sp)
would be available as he stars in the TV series Castle
on ABC.

I saw Cowboys and Aliens. You don't have to. Despite a stellar cast, the flick is lame. Daniel Craig does the "I'll kick your butt into the next timezone but I don't know who I am, but I'll show off how buff I am" thing and Harrison Ford is severely underused

I haven't seen "Cowboys and Aliens" yet, but I am looking forward to it. It's gotta be good, it's got Harrison Ford in it. A movie I really enjoyed, although it's been out quite a while, was "Monsters vs Aliens". Really good, I thought.
Btw, sorry I've been gone so long on this forum, had some trouble, then got involved in reading books, and now my only access to wifi is in a public place so that slows me down a bit. Anyway, excuses aside, I'm looking forward to catching up, hoping to catch up. Greetings to all.
I've seen several late model Harrison Ford movies beginning with the one he's an attorney and John Leguizumo as a robber in a corner store shoots him in the head and lungs to start the movie. THAT part is exciting, the rest of the movie is sadly boring all about his recovery and forgetting of his family and coming out of being the no longer money hungry lawyer, and alienating his family and his firm. Cowboys etc looks like another movie with a bunch of past time BIG stars who've not had a good movie in longer than we can remember.
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Cowboys & Aliens was enjoyable to me and my wife. But we like that action stuff, ezpecially with a sense of humore to it! This wasn't a movie that you go to for deep thoughts or insights. Non there. There was a bit of PC in it, when the Indians sided with the cowboys and a group of outlaws to fight off the aliens. H-m-m-m! I wonder if their passports were in order????????
The last episode of Falling Skies really surprised me. Didn't see it coming at all. They have next season in the works now!
Saw one last night! Paul. It was funny. It's a Simon Pegg comedy about a couple of englishmen on a tour of sci-fi conventions and sites (such as area 51, etc.) in the US who actully run into an real alien, named Paul.
There were so many one line gags and take offs of all the sci-fi and alien movie stuff! Even Steven Speilberg made a cameo in it! Laughed all the way though!
