The UK's a big place Uncle Al...well, postage stamp sized compared to yours of course. No, I don't know this fellow I'm afraid, but it's an excellent rendition of the tune. Takes me back.
But I actually had Alan Price drop in on me last Friday, he of the Georgie Fame / Alan Price genre of music. He's still going strong of course with concert tours. The only reason he called was not to get my autograph, but I'd flogged him a keyboard which he had to pick up. Great guy. Great music.
At the moment I'm listening to some jazz on Spotify through the 500w speaker system normally reserved for my keyboards. Luckily the house next door is empty and on the market at the moment. At a few quid a month, without those pesky ads blasting in every four numbers, I have it on most of the day. I guess I could get shot of all my CD's now. I even have dozens of commercially produced reel to reel tapes which haven't seen a tape recorder for yonks. maybe time for a clear out .

Now getting to grips with a Hammond XE1 Uncle Al. I got shot of the Tyros 3 as it was too commercial and clinical sounding for my liking. I tried lifting the double manual XE-2 singlehanded at the music store but couldn't, so it had to be the single, split keyboard version. A lovely Hammond sound though.

If you scroll down on that site there is also an acoustic guitar version of he same song. I found it interesting the way the song sounded with two different instruments playing the exact same tune.
I guess that's what make music interesting!
With all my attempts at lesson, over the years, I'm just tone deaf. I can play notes. But make it all into a song is beyond me.
I envy those of you who can actually do that, play a song.

I've still got the 45 by Horst Jankowski.
Can't run the video until the ninth of July, as I have used up my month's supply of broadband, and am reduced to dial-up speed! I've had the gigs doubled from then though, which is the next "billing period". It's all because I got the faster Lenovo computer and started running videos, which have much better definition on that. Can't do much on it at present because of a glich, so I'm back on the old faithful Compac. Maybe I'll have the Lenovo sorted by the 9th. I'd be able to run it now if the broadband was go though, as it's mainly e-mail that's hung up. My Firefox doesn't work for some reason, only Internet Explorer. Must be a plot by Microsoft!
