Saw this outside of Grass Pants, Oregon

Post by WSmac »

Had to turn around and drive back just to get a picture of it.
Of course... I had to 'fix' it with the help of PS

Of what? That the world is gonna end? I'm quite certain it is...maybe in another 100 million years or more....or less...or maybe not...or....

Wow, WSMac -- you had to turn around to get the shot? Here in New England they bring the party to you

Yes, the world will end one day, and my money is with the astrophysicists who have that pinned at some five or so billion years out. Now, mankind may go extict before that, but that's a different kettle of fish.

What a hoot !!! My dad is rolling over in his grave just a mile or three from that sign. The area is full of outspoken people, so not surprised. They have other drums they beat loudly, too.

Interesting take on the name of the small city. Hadn't thought of that...

Well I've seen a few grass skirts, but the imagination is working overtime to visualise grass pants! Fancy a town of that name, it would be interesting to find out some of the history behind it.

The punch line ?
Grass Pants, Oregon is a play on words for Grants Pass ?

rm
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Wow! Just the thought of pants being made out of grass scares me!
Ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That would really be uncomfortable to wear. Man, would it ever itch! And I thought my life long nemesis, blue jeans, were bad. But pants made out of grass?
What kind of grasses are used in making grass pants. Is it seasonal? It would have to be, wouldn't it?
Glad I don't live there.

I don't think grass pants would be bad....Maybe the 20 or so different species of insects in the grass might be though..:faint:
