Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
I was watching a Food Network "Challenge" program that my wife had put on over the last Easter Weekend and suddenly realised that one of the chefs was a wearing a kilt. It was a plump guy and he had on knee socks. I tried to pat attention in order to get his name but my wife kept flipping the stations. She is a hard person to watch TV with at times, with her channel surfing.
At any rate I never caught the man's name.
I just think it very encouraging that kilts are starting to show up in "casual" situation where wearing a kilt is not part of some prgram theme. In fact no one paid any notice to the chef's kilt. No one asked him about it.
Does anyone here no who he was? It like to find him and e-mail a note of thanks if I could somehow.
