Are these viable looks?

Post by Reject76 »

Hello guys...

Whats your opinion on these two outfits...Are they viable or not? Actually, if you think they're not, its too late anyways, heh. I've worn both of these to work (though the second one only once, but the first get frequent use).

Tripp NYC "Super kilt" in greenish gray:

Cargo/military skirt found at a thrift store. The boots, although details not visible here, are old military boots from the Swedish Royal Airforce, cirka 1970-ish (according to the 2nd hand exclusive (?) boutique where I paid about 70 euro for them). They have double lacing + zipper on the front.

Both work OK. I suppose if you get it Macho enough there will be no problems, but I get fed up with skirt equal big boots. Yet find myself matching a skirt with boots even when I disparage it!

I don't have links for the pictures. It's like they've been....Rejected
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Skip, cut and past the links straight into your browser, starting with the HTTP bit, nothing before. That should work, it did for me.

You look smart in both photos, but I can't see the purpose of zippers at the back (look like zippers) which would not be comfortable when sitting.
Clever photo editing, by the way.

Tripp fashions are pretty expensive in my observation and always too goth/ punk for me but that skirt looks to be an exception to what I've seen available.
The second one, quite a find for a thrift store! I agree with Couyair, the zippers right under the thighs looks uncomfortable but likely a small price to pay for a very masculine looking garment.
You seem to wear them well and that's what matters most.
I can't think of anything to put here that won't offend SOMEONE.

Right, sorry for the slow response. It's been full speed at work, so Ive been pretty knackered on the evenings.

Thanks a lot of the comments! It seems they are overly positive, and I guess thats a good thing!

Both of these looks are very good ... masculine and yet stylish. I generally like Tripp clothing, although I often find that the black fades very quickly from washing.
