Some nice looks here

Post by Steve »

I found this off a link that jeanfor posted here.

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... 30nme6r0-Q

That's a translation of a french blog post with (in my opinion) a few "believable" looks (and a few "what were they thinking?" looks).

Does anyone know where a bloke could find the skirt in the second picture? And is the guy wearing a dress in the first one?

What a critique extravaganza !

Photo -1- civilized - could be wearing a dress - skin exposed on/over shoulder under ventilated cover.
Photo -2- best application - would go for a bit shorter skirt - ???s about where to get - comment below pix H&M ?
Photo -3- not so best dressed clown in the circus - really - royal stewart kilt plaid with plaid capri length leggings #%$&*!!! -
burgundy sweat/t shirt hollers ouch! - motorcycle jacket and dress shoes a definite mismatch! Worst dressed nightmare!!!!!
Photo -4- Practical - staying warm.
Photo -5- What is the matter here ? - Did this guy just go through a TSA checkpoint and he needed to readjust his bearings? I won't
go into further detail enough noted already !
Photo -6- Excellent - need more exposure like this to advance the menskirt movement!

So 4 out of the 6 are good posters for the advancement of menskirts.
It is a great start.

"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

That is, as RMA said the H&M "kilt" that they announced with much fanfair last year but then never actually put into any of their shops due to "production problems". I seem to recall that it had built in shorts making it a skort in my terms and to be honest you could find a black pleated skirt like that in any number of high street shops on the other side of the aisle and probably for rather less than H&M wanted to charge.

RMA's assessment of the looks is spot on. I actually don't mind the look in picture 5, I just don't know why they did not use a different picture in which the wearer did not appear to have an urgent need to reorganise himself.

Have fun,

Ian.

Photo number 2 is a great looking skirt.
Photo number 6 is a U.S. made Utilikilt.
(I should know, I have 2 of them  )

The rest of the photos leave a bad taste in my mouth :!: :?

My 2 cents worth, I like #2 (although I dislike the shorts underneath), #4 (would be warm) and #6. If #1 is a dress, I don't care for that top at all. I wouldn't necessarily be against a dress per se, but would like it to have a more masculine type top, like a t-shirt dress, or shirt dress, etc. #5 might be alright but as others have pointed out that pose kinda ruins the look.

I renamed the #5 guy in my collection..."Man scratching in his kilt" Now I don't have a clue WHAT he's scratching, but he certainly seems to be scratching something. :D :D
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.
