A New High-water Mark

Post by JRMILLER »

My wife Toni and I are sitting a lunch. She is wearing a knee-length, brown jersey skirt, I am wearing a full-length fleece skirt which I wear around the house on cold days (I work at home). Here is a link to the site where I purchased my skirt: http://www.themouseworks.com/fleece-skirts.htm

In any case, Toni says to me "you made a convert out of me, I seem to prefer skirts now, I looked at my jeans this morning and just went yuck".

A discussion ensued regarding when a where skirts were useful vs. jeans, she indicated that as a kid she liked to play on the equipment at the playground and climb trees (so do I). In those cases, pants or shorts make sense, skirts do not. However, when lounging around the house or walking around (shopping, hiking, and for AMM "climbing mountains"), skirted garments make sense.

So, we seem to have a meeting of the minds on this issue. It's taken 2-1/2 yrs to get to this point, but here we are. I think we arrived here because she finally had time to think it through and the argument is influencing her emotional side. From my standpoint, gentle persistence and love...

Life is good...

Thanks for the link John. The price is reasonable for a made to order item and she even uses made in the US Malden Mills fleece. You don't see that much any more. This could be just the thing to wear year round here in cold, windy San Francisco. A 15 mph wind off a 49 degree ocean can be bracing. Keeps me from wearing my skirts out as much as I might like.

Congratulations for getting your wife on your side. :D
