Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.

When asked 'Why the Kilt?'
I respond-The why is F.T.H.O.I. (For The H--- Of It)
Thank you! As I usually do on the weekends, I wore a tan khaki skirt to church (sang in the choir.) Went to a late breakfast at a Waffle House and was aware of the curious looks, but no obvious reactions one way or the other to my alternative style. Afterwards at home, I changed into one of my Old Navy denim skirts. Later, I went with my wife and daughters to a fast food restaurant for dinner. Again, no reactions. I really enjoyed my 55th.
Thanks again,
George
