St. Patrick's Day is approaching

Post by Uncle Al »

So, with this in mind I say this to all Irishmen and
Irishmen at heart *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

An Irish blessing --

May God grant you always . . .
A sunbeam to warm you
A moonbeam to charm you
A sheltering angel so nothing can harm you
Laughter to cheer you
Faithful friends near you
And whenever you pray, Heaven to hear you

:green: :kiltdance: Happy St. Patrick's Day :kiltdance: :green:

I'm rather late in here, but being Irish I couldn't pass this thread by.
There is a song which contains a traditional Irish blessing, the full text of which I need to dig out, but it starts thus:

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be at your back,
May the sun shine upon your face,
May the rain fall gently on your fields....and so on. We sang it as a finale on Palm Sunday in the Parish Church of Bormes-les-Mimosas on the Cote d'Azur in S. France last year. They processed round the church to it, eventually leaving by the West Door into the Sun, whereupon our organist blew them all down the street with a serious lump of Bach Toccata. Nice experience.

More soon...
Carpe Diem......Seize the Day !
